Canada's Debate: Public vs Private Schools

A model exists in Carson Graham Secondary School in Canada using a language-based ABA classroom based on the principles of Verbal Behavior. Currently, they have 16 students in the "Functional Skills" program - in which students receive direct instruction in one to one, small group and large group settings across the school day. They use discrete trial and natural environment teaching. The classes model regular classes and follow the rotation of the rest of the school. The school also offers keyboarding, PE, Art, Music, Social Studies, Science, English, and Math. Each student has an intensive program and based on the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS). Once students are able to learn in a regular classroom we move some of their instruction there as electives. For more information take a look at
