She has worked in out patient and acute hospital settings for the last 6 years, an area of focus has been social skill development and behavior modification. Her approach is a blend of: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art/Story Therapy, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Dialectics. This approach has evolved to include a wide range of skills so that she is best able to meet each individuals needs. She can provide assessment for mood/anxiety disorders, ADHD, and developmental disorders -including the autism spectrum. She will work with you and your child to master effective skills and reduce stressors that trigger frustration and conflict. She can work with you to navigate community resources: schools- to develop interventions that can reduce their social and academic barriers, medical, psychiatric, and alternative care providers as appropriate.
